Midwest Shirt Company!
Midwest Shirt Company is a family-owned and operated custom apparel and branding shop dedicated to bringing your ideas to life.
Our story began in 2013 in the basement of our Broad Ripple home. What started as a creative side project steadily grew into a full-time family business. In 2026, we reached an exciting milestone by opening our first brick-and-mortar shop in Westfield, Indiana.
Before running Midwest Shirt Company full-time, I spent 17 years teaching graphic design, branding, and advertising at Indiana University, Ball State University, and the Art Institute of Indianapolis. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and a Master of Fine Arts in Advertising with a concentration in Art Direction.
In 2023, I retired from college teaching after finishing my teaching career at Ball State University. That’s when I began running Midwest Shirt Company full-time and focused completely on growing the business alongside my wife and our two daughters.
Today, we pour our creativity, experience, and attention to detail into every project that comes through our shop.
We specialize in custom apparel for businesses, schools, teams, nonprofit organizations, and community groups. Our services include screen printing, embroidery, DTF printing, signage, graphic design, and branding—giving our clients one local partner for all their creative and promotional needs.
Our journey hasn’t always been easy. In 2020, when COVID hit, we had just moved into a new home and seriously considered closing the business. Our passion for what we do, combined with the incredible support of our loyal clients and community, kept us moving forward.
